BOPP Laminated PP Woven Bags

A BOPP film laminated onto woven polypropylene gives you something a plain sack cannot: photographic print quality on a bag that still carries 25kg without splitting. It is the construction behind most rice, sugar, flour and pet food bags you see on a supermarket shelf.

Why brands choose BOPP lamination

A plain woven surface is a grid of tapes. Ink sits on the high points and detail disappears, so fine text, gradients and photographs turn muddy. BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene) film is reverse printed and then laminated onto the fabric, which puts a smooth, sealed surface between your artwork and the outside world.

The result is print quality close to a paper label, a wipe-clean surface that resists moisture and scuffing, and a bag that keeps the strength of woven polypropylene underneath. For any product sold at retail in a woven bag, this is usually the right answer.

  • Reverse printed BOPP film, then laminated to the fabric
  • Up to 8 colours, photo quality detail and gradients
  • Gloss finish for vivid colour, matt finish for a premium look
  • Water and scuff resistant surface, wipes clean
  • Also available with PP lamination where a matte woven look is wanted
  • Compatible with liners, handles, valve and block bottom constructions

FAQ

Is BOPP lamination worth the extra cost?

If your bag is displayed on a shelf or your brand depends on fine print detail, yes — the difference in perceived quality is large. If the bag only travels from your factory to a farm, a plain laminated or unlaminated woven bag will do the same job for less. We will tell you which one your product actually needs.

How many colours can you print on BOPP?

Up to 8 colours. Rotogravure printing holds fine detail, small text and photographic images far better than flexo printing on plain fabric, which is why it is used for retail bags.

Can BOPP bags be recycled?

The bag is polypropylene based and can be recycled in PP recycling streams where the infrastructure exists. If recyclability is a requirement, tell us and we will discuss mono-material constructions that avoid mixed layers.
